I use the pseudonym Q.Jones III in honor of my grandfather. I began writing in the city jail, really just out of boredom and a desire to leave behind a part of myself that my daughter could hopefully see one day. I never knew it would become so important to me.
In Just My Thoughts Vol.1, Jones publishes the first four years of the journal that he began keeping upon his incarceration. In it, we witness the mind of a 20 year old man, now sentenced to 48 years in prison, working to reconcile his day to day realities with the hope and faith he still nurtures within. Purchase it and join Quentin on his journey to redemption.
In Vol.1 of the 9 volume 100% REAL series, Jones applies his studies in sociology, psychology and spirituality to overcoming the socialization process that young Black men undergo in low-income communities. Drawing from his own life experiences, Jones uses his own growth as proof that his methods work. A must-read for young Black men or anyone concerned with them.
In Vol. 2 of 100% REAL, Jones takes us to the next degree in the struggle of the young Black male. Using history and science as guides, Jones examines the pre-selected roles for the Black man in America, who created them and why. He then goes a step further and discusses the proper roles that Black men were created to enact and occupy. 100% REAL Vol. 2 is a most necessary read.
The P.R.I.N.C.E.S.S. Diary is a wonderful gift for girls of all ages. This diary is special because it is more than just the safe space that every girl needs to find herself; it includes a set of P.R.I.N.C.E.S.S. teachings to aid her on this journey to Queendom. First written as a gift for his own daughter, Quentin now hopes to share this gift with all little girls around the world.
When Devin King's parents are mysteriously murdered he is snatched from his world of wealth and women and thrust into a realm of mystery, ritual and secret societies. With only his sister and mentor to aid him, Devin embarks on a journey to find his parent's killers that takes him all over the globe—from the tropical terrain of the Dominican Republic to the desolate outskirts of Ethiopia and beyond—as he searches for answers. Obviously Devin's parents were much more than the simple people he knew and as he draws nearer to the truth, nothing could have prepared him for what he finds.
